Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I haven't got that far as there is no new firmware yet, so you have passed me Sparkey.

You can tell me what I need to do.

Yes, the Olimex Port By Ken Segler string is fine on VGA, but it gets corrupted on the USB link, as it is too long for the buffer apparently.

Yes, Don. That is part of it.

I hope to make MMIDE useful enough to replace use of other terminals.

(Not sure how to fix the Mac problems yet)

Pesactley Sparkey. You are the first user with feed back, and it certainly is early days. There has to be a lot of fine tuning of everything including documentation.

A heap of boards went out today, so it may be a few days before we get additional feed back.

That would be great if you can Rob. The fact that you don't need to set anything up, including easy selection of the COM port, makes it so much better (friendlier) than a terminal program that needs a whole range of parameters set up, before it takes off.

Mac, what's that?

That is my goal. I want to make it easy to use the Maximite through the USB connection. Even if you have a keyboard and monitor/TV attached, the USB connection will be (I hope) a useful tether to the device.

When I run the OSX MMIDE I get this error:

Is that the MAC error you refer to?
I really hope you can work this out. I prefer to use MAC.

Yes, that is the Mac problem. I'll look at it as I improve other parts of MMIDE.

you did change the file name from ex_ to exe as the text file says Sparkey?

And I assume you are trying to update the firmware?
(Which there isn't any new updates at this point)

And if it only worked on W7, we would be in deep sh@#!
