Well I have the first 2 layers of Mylar on and have included my paper guide. Went much quicker than I expected using Frackers bike rim method.

Also been working on the modified power board, been pulling out some hair but starting to make head way. Board is 250 * 150 mm I reduced the length as I have 2 oz FR4 on hand that is 250 mm long.

Looks the goods, but I would reduce the number of holes you have there for the clamp screws to 3 per 6 fets, and make a relief around the holes so you don't need fiber washers like I had to do. You should just screw the screws in with no other hardware needed.

I would consider putting the solder pads on both sides of the bridge, so thinner wire and more of them is a possibility, and copper thickness will not be much of a problem anymore.

Hi Oz,

I am trying to find what the temperature probe is that connects to 80109f board in the middle at the top. Been looking everywhere but luck, if your able to help that would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gary

Thanks OZ

Has taken some time but have all the other bits needed ordered, now the waiting begins. In the mean time I can get on with winding the Torroid and working on PCB design and etching.

Is there anyone who has worked out how to get files out of Altium and into either Eagle or Designspark?

If anyone is searching for parts this list may help

Sorry I forgot to put the zener in, the other resistors came in a pack that had a number of other values I wanted.

I was working off Clockmans list but a lot of the names where different and values such as 0.6W resistors and a 7k6 resistor.

I tried the gerber files but turned into mess, I will have another go at it.Edited by Madness 2016-06-24

Grogster got them to work apparently, he may be able to export them to something you can use directly.

He also got the pcb files undone too .

I was able to import them into Sprint Layout. I am not sure what you mean by my undoing the PCB files......

EDIT: Here is the import:

I don't have any Excellon drill data file, so the holes are not defined, but I can alter that myself.Edited by Grogster 2016-06-24

Hi Grogster,

Are you able to export as Eagle? would be very helpful, there is a later version 80109f of the PCB.

Sprint Layout can only export to Gerber or Isolation Milling files(HPGL, *plt).
Not sure if that is of any help?

I could have sworn that I posted here somewhere.

My Original files are TARGET PCB software, small commercial purchase licence Febuary this year.

Any way, here is a zipped folder for the double sided OzControl Board 10, These are all RS-274-X Gerber files, except the drill hole.

This folder is ready for the PCB manufacturer, and in there requested Format, I think. http://www.shenzhen2u.com/PCB

Grogster, there is a Link 5v to 5v that is not blue on your import double sided board, if not a double sided board just single then add links on the top.

2016-06-23_105636_OzCntrl10_2.zip

These Gerber files can be viewed with the Free 'GC-prevue' Gerber file viewer, just import each Gerber file, and it even shows the Drill hole file.

Trust this helps Gary. ? Edited by Clockmanfr 2016-06-24

Your Gerber set and drill data imports fine - holes and all.

Thanks for the help,

The software I am trying to use (Designspark) won't do it, might have to redo it from scratch.

Making progress with the PCB, need to check for errors. I will do that when I am not so sleepy, but I pretty sure it is right.

Not enough definition to say if correct or not, but wow the gap between the screws and the fet bodies is pretty skinny.... if I am reading it right.

Did you leave room on the solder mask ( if commercially done) for the wires to be soldered onto the board for the 4 termination wiring areas. ( 24 points?)

I used 4mmsq solar wire stripped to the inner sheath and figured 6 wires for each should do it... they are only short.

Hi Oztules,

There is 40mm from centre to centre and a T220 is 10mm wide so should be room to spare, I am planning to use 3mm screws. I have kept the legs well spread as per the design Clockman is using. The area shown on the board is actually 18 mm wide so there is 4 mm spare each side of what you see on there.

After look at it with fresh eye's today I have rerouted some tracks and widened most of them. Biggest change was to get the track away from the screw heads on the right edge.

Here is a higher res version with updates

edit The file has been downsized.

if you turn the wide image 90 degrees and save it as a gif the 4M will let you post a very tall 1024 pixel wide image.
I'm confused, no wait... maybe I'm not...

Thanks Yahoo.

Oz, no plans for commercial production of the boards, I will just make my own. Dots in the back ground are 5 mm apart, will give some idea of scale. I am using design spark if any one is interested.

Yes plenty of room for soldering on wires, I could leave pads etc to look pretty but no need. Won't have any girls in bikini's holding it like the inverters on ebay either unfortunately.
