to be honest i know the part of the code you are talking about but converting hex to binary left me a long time ago if i got out my school books i could prolly figure it out i just had my dinner and took my medication i have been awake for 42 hours and really not much chop atm sorry about that and the and refers to um a hex number in code that represents the value of the key its a little mixed up code there...from memory to be honest i relly havent done hex strokes and key notification for twenty years back in my tafe days i do know where one of my reference books is but i`m not even shure that has the answers "gerard would be the one to ask but have not seen him pop up any where for a fair time...///...///

but its definatley a hex notation ///try search ing for a hex to binary converter on the net ....///when it comes down to it i am a much better analouge teh than digital....///Edited by sparkey 2011-11-03

refer to page 8 of the MMBasic manual
0-9 decimal
&H - hex 0 - 16 or 0-9 ABCDEF
&O - octal 0-7
&B - Binary 01

will will have to ask geoff the significance of the & symbol

in addition i would also like to add that i am going to use the con 3 connections rather than the i/o pins as i dont favor the idea of using up these pins ...///...///

310 BCDTEMP = RTCBuff(2)
311 GOSUB 11000
312 Hour_12 = decimal
313 if decimal >12 then
114 Hour_12 = decimal - 12

here is a pic of my blown up SM! board with the "rtc" components running ..isolated from the faulty cct of the "SM1" with my "EV " board mounted on top of it and hard wired vga video and a k-b sckt that i removed and cable tied up to the usb conn....the time clock is running and so there you have it a fully working maxi it has all the features working...///...///

the clock is still running in 24 hour mode will have to look into this but ...i`m tired and it wont be tonite..it could be that i have some of the code wrong and as i am running the "8563 chip it may only run in 24:00 mode i dunno ..././//...///

just a recent pic.....

i am in the process of organizing a maxi/pic/audino and other micro controllers ::::::: fest ::

::however there are some down sides to this ""

it will be the first of its kind and will be held in melbourne vic at a post code of 3049 ""

it is a revamped hall with ammenties such as brand new toilets and fresh running water::

:there is parking for cars and close to the local supermarket if you should require any thing that you may need

i will be providing trestle tables approx 20 or so also will be providing all these trestles with mains powered per trestle as i will not be providing any other hard ware as i am shure you can bring your own gear your self ....

there will be a 5 dollar entry fee as the hall is quite expensive to hire due to its rebuild ....

i will expect that all entrents will be have in a civil manner and the local police are very close at hand ...

...i will not tollerate abusive and uncool behaviour...adding to this i can organize professional security ...

there will be free tea and coffe supplied and this also accounts for the 5 dollar entry fee ...

i hope to have this around august in 2012 ...i unfotunatley regret that i cannot make the venue closer to central australia but as by june 2012 i will know from the forum statistics weather to go ahead and organize the "meet"

also there are quite a few places to stay with the local motels offering a plentifull amount of stop over arrangements i may even to be able to organize a cheaper rate if the numbers are going to be high in attendence....

in addition there will be door prizes which wiil prolly be some of the latest maximite gear ...too be announced later as to what products are available at that time

i hope i have coverd the bases here regards sparkey ...///.../// oh and for the critics i am not endevoring to make a buck out of this at all i just to cover costs..and bring together what i think that i will prolly organise once a yar ... and any funds left over will go into a managed account for the next one that i organize....///...sparkey...also i may even set up a computer with a donglee and some net working facilitys so that people can have internet access i have available a c few crak core net heads that can assist besides that i think i want to make this a special event and any hel on the day would be very much appreaciated...///children under 16 will be enterd as free as long as they are accompanyied by an adult ...////

honestly come june next year 2012 i will make my decision about the whole concept ..i know i said i was not going to supply any hard ware other than every trestle having a powerd site this still stands and with some help it may be that we can have a central pc with the adaptability to run "I2C" and "rj45" as planned but i still may invest in a donggle depending if it gets used for good purposes only i have a very nice pc which will be able to facilitate most needs i think ...///...///build it and they will come...///...///any administrators from this forum will be admitted free ....///...///and hot choclate well milo prolly for the chochlate drinkers sorry i forgot about the peops that drink hot choc any way ,,...///...//Edited by sparkey 2011-11-06
