Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Mouser Details on Leaded USB Connector

Chuck,
It appears to be very expensive compared to a standard BM type connector.
Perhaps it is just Mouser pricing, but I know I was able to buy the BMs from a reseller in Australia for about 50 cents each, so I can only imagine what the "Chinese" price would be.

The Wurth connector originates in Germany. Perhaps it can be sourced somewhat cheaper through other channels.

Don,
I agree completely and I'll continue to search for a lower cost option now that I know they exist.
But when I want to make a small board with USB the larger, lower cost B type won't fit or makes the module too bulky. So having this leaded option for the mini is a bonus.

I maybe can be of help with that USB connector. I use them a lot for my own projects and have many in stock.
In what currency do you need a price. I calculate in Thai baht so that is not really helpful i think.

Here is a picture:

I have a good source for things like that so if you need something else, just ask. :)

The dspic33f at 40 mips certainly need the low esr. Microchip boards
tends to use small format 0805 Murata / Panasonic smd ceramics, I
have settled on the larger size 1206 equivalent which are much easier
to handle,
Murata GRM31CR71A106KA01L

These caps are available at Rockby in 1206 format. $0.24 ea. 10 minimum and multiples thereafter.
