I am having a very high rate of grief right now myself from garbage Chinese components.
Its just not worth the risk where if it fails it can do some real damage.

I still wouldn't say all are bad... i have actually had a pretty good run with most things from the east..

Its just a shame a few dodgy ones are there
I think it works !!

I really don't know if it would have made a difference, but my control board called for 100nf caps, 4 bloody orders in a row came at around 1/3 of their stated rate 30 odd nf, got some locally and they were all extremely close to 100. So there may be other gremlins at work on peoples boards. Maybe those ones that tested around 30 would have worked, BUT maybe they could have F'd it up good and proper.
So I test everything now. Shouldn't have to though.
