Hi Bill,

Mine just came today (Thanks Very much Rob)

Ok..
hold the stick so the uSD socket is at the bottom left and slide the steel part to the left, it will move slightly and you can lift it up (hinges and swings up) insert your card and push the steel back down and slide it to the right to lock it in.

A weird one but seems ok.

regards,

Mick

I had a recent delivery from Amazon US in 7 days from order. I have another item on delivery from the US and I am still waiting at double that time. Both items cost about US$15 for postage.

Hi Ray,

Not wanting to step on Robs toes here, but he sent me one as a demo as I offered some feedback in his proto stages, thanks once again Rob, I guess it took about 3-4weeks but I am not certain as I wasn't aware that he was sending me one.

Regards,

Mick

Typical times to OZ have been 10-14 days.

Thanks for explaining the SD card holder. It is a hinged lid type. I'm comfortably familiar with that type, but I suppose it is new to a lot of people.

Just went on Don's site http://www.dontronics-shop.com/the-maximite-computer.html
and it shows the intention to stock the cgmmstick1 for the same as the $US price, even cheaper now with the A$1 = US$1.03.

Ray B: That isn't right. The Dontronics site just redirects to CircuitGizmos. Don does not want to sell the CGMMSTICK1.

I understand that a CGMMSTICK1 is 100% software compatable with the original MM, correct my if I'm wrong. I especially like the straight line connector for the CGMMSTICK1.

Without dwelling on the current software compatibilty issues between MM/DM (something I'm sure will be overcome in time) it could be handy to see in tabular form a hardware comparison between the various hardware solutions available. Hint for BigMik...

How about adding fields or columns to list supplier, kit or assembled, and whether or not it is still available. Guess such a list would need a date as some columns change over time. Heck, might as well include price.

CGMMSTICK1 arrived to Point Roberts a week ago and was very well packed. I picked up it today and couldn't believe how big was the shipping box. Thanks to BigMik instructions I didn't mess with SD socket and was able to insert SD and turn it on. Everythink looks good.

Question: Could someone explain to me what's difference between VIDEO1 and VIDEO2?

Regards

I'll be adding SD clamshell tips to the documentation soon.

Please download the "Beginning Maximite" document - It has a schematic for connecting video.

I don't see it in your download list. Where is it? When will you have VGA & keyboard connection kits for the CGMMSTICK1 as you mentioned earlier?

I don't have an exact date for when the boards will arrive, but they will be here early February.

I think it would be good idea to add "schematic, VGA, and keyboard" to the table of contents and the index at the end of the CGMMSTICK1 Operations Manual. It took me 15 minutes to find the VGA schematic.
