Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Progress report? Estimated delivery date for this PDF? I can only guess, on a few items, by reading the schematics. |

99% complete :) will upload it on our web in few hours, as English is not my native language it may be not quite polished, so I rely to Mick to go through it and translate it from BulEnglish to normal English, so the edited version will be updated in few days. There is also list of demo codes and examples which will be add in the manual in next few days. |

Great - if possible, mark this user manual as "preliminary" for other users to know that further updates will follow. |

it's on the web now, be warned that it's still not complete and the edited version will be on the web in few days. I'll work something more on the code examples now. |

Hi Many thanks for this Manual. Initial impressions after a quick look over are very positive. Bulenglish is a great deal better than Chinenglish. Herb |

On a silver platter .... The schematic of current revision of DuinoMite-Mega is at http://www.olimex.com/dev in DUINO
section, there you can also find the CAD schematic and board files. Note there is no direct link but the link above is close. Just scroll down the page and you will find the doc's. Cheers. |

thanks for the feed back, I do consider to put the ODT source for download too, so the community could also fix errors and incompletenes in the user manual, just have to figure out how to handle situations when two users work on same revision and submit corrected files at same time. |

Maybe users edit it using Word with 'tracking' turned on. They submit to you and when you receive it you accept (or not) the revisions and then post the updated version to start the cycle all over again. Greg |

Revision 1.03 is on the web, UEXT board examples are add, Mick translated it from bulEnglish to British so it should be more understandable for English people now if one wants the ODT source it's available at OLIMEX site note that editing it with WORD will lead to lost formating and images may be lost too. I use LibreOffice but OpenOffice will also work without problem. If you have ideas or suggestions which to be implemented let me know. |

Quite frankly opening the manual for everyone to edit would be a huge mistake, you would get too much inconsistency of both content and English. Releasing the source is odt is ok but additions to the formal manual would need to be submitted to one source and added by Olimex or their defined agent. Yes, we learned this the hard way :) The manual is available in source form as if someone wants to use part or in whole the information inside he can do this easily when he have the source. The system may be like this: I'll keep the main source which will update to our web. If one have update - correction or suggestions to be add he can e-mail me and I and Mick will review / English check these before I put in the source ODT file. |

I too want to thank you for this maual. I had a couple suggestons... 1. Label a photo of the boards with connector labels. There are some connectors on my duinomite-mini that I can not identify and the jumpers. and the GPIO pin numbering. I had to find a mangifying glass to find the pin 1 and 2 labels on it. I know I have read somewhere what these are but it would be nice to have them labeled in the manual. Great work. I especially like the way you included examples with the command words of MMBasic. Reminds me of the early IBM DOS, BASIC and dBaseII manuals. Not that is how it is done. Michael Couch |

Michael Couch Thanks for your kind comments Michael (great name ) Yes I agree a `clean' overlay outline for each board would be a great addition to the Manual and I will talk to Tsvetan about this for addition to the next version of it. There are several new commands that Ken has written that we need to add to the manual anyway. The one concern is that adding pictures adds to the size of the manual but then if that was deemed to be the case than a ADDENUM manual can be done for those things. I will contemplate my navel and see what we can come up with regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |
