Hi, all,

I plan to remove the old tiles in my kitchen. The tiles were set on concrete
floor. I tested it by removing a few tiles off and it seems that removing
tiles is not that hard, but the thinset residue is hard to clean out.

Is there a good way to remove the left thinset/mortar? Does the grinder
available at Lowes (looks like a household vacuum) really work?

Thanks,

I found Petrol softens the glue and you can remove it with a scraper, although not the best smell and still not the easiest job, but its cheap compared to some other methods.

No smoking while working or you goose might be cooked in a blinding flash.
