I need relays with the following specifications:-
A coil voltage in the range 5 Volt to 48 Volt.

Contacts - either DPST or DPDT able to switch at least 60 Volt DC and a current rating of at least 500 mA.
I prefer SMD mounting but through the hole will suffice if SMD relays with the above specifications are not available.

Does any one know where I can purchase such relays? I need 80, so the price is critical.

I tried RS Components & Element 14, but they have little to offer.

I also did a search of Chinese companies but found their web sites frustrating. The ones I viewed did not have a sensible search engine. Besides, I have the feeling they don't want enquiries from the likes of me.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

wescomponents.com
You will need an ABN to order from them however
They have a pretty good range but ALL are PCB mount.
Test the site by searching for
RL-P-5 5 volt coil
RL-P-12 12 volt coil
RL-P-24 24 volt coil
will switch 240 volts AC @ 500 mA
220 VDC @1A
14mm X 9mm overall footprint

OOPS I forgot
5volt version $1.40
12 volt and 24 volt is $1.30

They have a similar unit in SMD
RL-PS-5
RL-PS-12
RL-PS-24

But twice the price

Thanks Joe,
I registered with them but have to wait for them to process.

I think my daughter has an ABN, so I may be able to use her's.

I dont think they much care!! its more a GST thing.

If you buy 80 relays, order a catalogue!!!! ( used to be free )
about 800 pages of stuff

they are the ducks nuts for bits n pieces.
they do very little SMD stuff apart from chips

Thanks for the suggestions. After consideration of the various options, I have decided to not use relays & use 2 16F1708 PICs as they have sufficient pins & IOC on every pin.
