Hi Is there any noticeable operational difference in the versions of the EG8010 sinewave chips, I ordered from this supplier what seems like the correct version EG8010 HN1518HT1536 However what was received was HN1608HT1623 and HN1518HT1612. Has anyone tested their inverter with different chip versions, or is this nothing to worry about. Thanks Mike |

You'll be the first to know As I have discovered, so far there is only the low voltage shut down function that is different... apart from that I can plug in any chip of different numbers, and thats the only difference I can discern. This is a mixed blessing, it allows for extended testing without the mosfets connected, or the transformer connected without UVLO causing you to rest all through your testing... but you have to provide uvlo yourself then... or swap chips after testing ..........oztules Village idiot...or... just another hack out of his depth |

I contacted the supplier, seems some of the numbers are date stamps, so they vary, see what happens when its plugged in. |

Old post but I remember reading that I should get the right model EG8010's. Solar Mike was given the correct information. If anyone is still in doubt or just wants to know, the date code seems to be in the last 4 ####'s. The first 2# marks indicate the year of manufacture the last 2# marks are the week of that year. So a code of 1623 would indicate the 23d week of 2016. The chips I was supplied a few weeks ago are 1815 indicating 2018 week 15 or ~ May 2018. If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |
