Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I'll admit it's been many years since I got my electronic qualifications, mosfet's weren't around then and the tv's I repaired were b+w not colour.
I've also had brain surgery and my memory recall is pretty rubbish, I hate asking for help but I'm stuck with such a simple thing as this.

What I'm looking for is a simple circuit that will drive a 1A maximum load (thats being overgenerous it only needs maybe 200-300mA) off a 3.3V pic pin

I have 5V available on the board "if needed" but I'd rather keep everything at 3.3v if possible

It's to power a HC-12 433Mhz tx/rx module

Ideally a surface mount part.

Anyone able to help with a simple circuit and mosfet part number please?

If you Google 'Using a FET as a switch' there are plenty of examples to choose from.
Cheers
Pete'.
