Hi,

Interesting idea and if there is an interest, then I will ask DR Google for this Master's thesis and provide the link as I have it only on another confuser.

This chap bought some Maxwell ultracaps and a 200W grid tie inverter (solar!) and checked how well this setup handles the ups and downs with wind in the lab with a dyno. As it is a Master's Thesis there is lots of maths and lab reports.

So the power from the mill goes into a bank of ultracaps and from there into the grid tie inverter and those ultracaps smooth out the swings.

The ultra Caps have worked very well in my system with the batteries.
