This is Roger's photo of a 4mH inductor from a 3kw aerosharp.

If I'm after a 2mH inductor, with double the current rating, would it be ok to connect the 4 wires in parallel?

And if so, I imagine I would connect white and red together and blue and black together.

Is that right?

I don't know what's in that choke or how it's wound.

But in general yes, given two inductors of the same value, paralleling the inductors will halve the inductance and give you a higher current capability.
It's all too hard.

Looks the same as the 3rd one. The wire on that Big choke is 3 mm diameter.
Picture to see how its wound.

Ok I think I have to connect red and blue together and white and black together as the two coils are wound in different directions around the core.
