Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I haven't been able to Register with LCSC or login for some unknown reason, I had parts in the cart for some time trying to get this to work, in the meantime some of the parts list is now on backorder because of this. There is also no Guest checkout either, the help page says there is? I have contacted them about this issue and sent in a few screenshots of whats happening and they said I should use Google Browser to Register instead of Firefox that I currently use, don't really want Google Chrome if I can avoid it. Honestly tired of getting the runaround with this crap, things like this should just work without such hassle. I just Tried Chromium and that failed to complete the registration process. Has anyone had this problem? What browsers do work with LCSC? Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

I've only ever used Firefox, works perfectly, I created an account over a year ago with Firefox and use it regularly, I just logged on now and all good, but obviously I can't check if new account creation is working. It's all too hard. Mike. |

I had a problem with Firefox and Ali-express a while ago. It would keep prompting to login even though I entered the password, it just came back to the login prompt. It seems to be about having a cookie or something with an incorrect session ID or what ever. Try logging in with a New Private Window from the drop down menu or clear the history and see what happens. Latest F4 Latest H7 |

Clear the browser cache to get rid of any sessions / cookies. |

LSCS worked fine for me using firefox and as I haf used them before just logged in with no problems. Now Amazon for me was pain the rear, as I had joined many decades ago after mobile prompts ETC I was finally able to get in to order those GRBL boards. Now on the next day tried to login but it just wouldn't let me saying my account was suspended. The goods have shipped so Amazon can go take jump if they can't sort a login. |

Bryan I had similar issues with Amazon once, in my case I had initially joined with Amazon.com but many years later I could not locate my original account so joined again with amazon.com.au thinking it was the same place. Just googling amazon and pressing enter on a likely looking link may have started the .com site instead of the .com.au site or vice versa so as the sites looked essentially identical I was none the wiser. This all came to light after needing purchase information for a warranty claim and I could not find the purchase in my history. After an email to their customer service they worked out what the issue was ( It was me ). If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |

Thanks for the help and suggestions, its been very helpful in ruling out User Error...That I thought might have caught me out. I have used Firefox for years and its worked very well for most things, It sometimes had a hiccup with some sites like Auspost MasterCard, login would fail because of some Plugins that were running in Firefox and possibly other things it didn't like. I didn't know about the New Private Window, tried it, but it didn't help (in this particular scenario) it will certainly come into use for other problems I may encounter in future, so good to know this is worth a try. clearing cash and cookies has been my goto for sites that block viewing after several sessions, just have to remember that It did clear all the Items I had in the Cart on the LSCS site, not complaining, just prompted me to work smarter not harder by using the LCSC part codes instead of the actual part numbers, no need to search through a list. The story, steps taken. I have tried clearing browser history in Firefox didn't help, I tried signing up again with chromium Browser same problem it says my username is already in use, I change the username and then is says my Email address is already in use or taken I tried another computer and the result was the same, I tried Google Chrome and the same thing happened, no success registering, however the Email verification was working every time so that was helpful. I would say that my username and Email address is stuck in the LCSC system and is the reason why I cannot Register with My name and email, can't even charge my username because it uses the same Email address, if this happens you are pretty much screwed, unless LCSC can remove the details from the system, I have yet to hear back from them about this as they close the help desk over the weekend. The only way around this is to use a new username and different Email address and hope it doesn't get rejected, while doing this with google chrome the Capture box (I am not a robot) was missing until the browser was restarted twice and a new page loaded.......And its supposed to be an upto date browser, not impressed. Anyway using a new username and Email address got me through the registration and have logged in successfully twice, And no problem logging in with Firefox, just as others have. I will wait and see what LCSC says about it, they have been helpful, perhaps they can enable the Gust login for those that have trouble registering. So It looks like its working now.....Hope this helps other's that may end up in this situation. I sure the same thing has happened on other sites for other people. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

Aaron it sounds like you cant register because you are already registered. Now you know your username and email address, assuming you still have access to that email address cant you just use the "forgot password" link (its on the RHS just under the blue "sign in" button). It then presents a page which only asks for your email address to confirm where they are to send the reset password link, follow the link in their email, give it your new password and it should work ? If I have misunderstood what is going on here just ignore me.... Edited 2024-08-24 23:28 by wiseguy If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |

That is correct, however when doing the "forgot password" scenario it says it cant find the account or something like that, it only displays for a moment, too fast for me to get the screen capture. It also makes no attempt to send the verification code to the Email, I somehow missed putting this in the other post. Good idea though and normally this should work, thanks Mike. I just have an idea on what caused this, perhaps a connection dropout at a critical point in the registration process. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |
