Very interesting! Possible candidate - with a few years more development - to replace the toxic(and often volcanic!) Lithium batteries used in just about everything today, including all the EV's. Battery technology is a fascinating subject. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Unfortunately zinc is unlikely to ever have the energy density needed for cars. Trains and some short haul trucks and busses may be able to use it. It's best application will be grid storage to time shift peak solar output to peak demand. |
