My problem is I have a walabot that is normally connected to the phones usb.
I used it years ago with my samsung SG5. I have got 3 batteries and all have
swollen up and pushed the back off so no more amazon or e-bay batteries.

So my thought was to use a power bank to power both but the cable I have will
let me charge phone or use OTG. I do not seem to be able to use it as I thought.

Next is to open battery remove the connector and feed the power bank to phone
and use the usb to feed the walabot.

Is there an easier was just using the usb's?
Can I feed power to phone and walabot with a 3 way usb cable from power bank
or will the phone only think it is charging and not let me run the app?

Any thoughts
Thanks Quazee137

I had to lookup Walabot to find out what it was, now I know.
It is a growing problem with all these phones and other devices that have special batteries that are not made anymore.
Some will not work without a battery, even with USB power present, and the battery connections inside can be 3 or more depending on the device, I expect that one connection would be a temperature sensor.
I thought there might be an option to remove the small circuit board and connectors from an old stuffed battery, and then make a pcb with a heap of SMD super capacitors and a current limiter, it would have very little capacity but when used with a USB power source it might make it usable,  not sure if its worth the trouble
Others have had that idea for a long time.
Cheers Aaron
