Hi all, Can anyone tell me the voltage ratings of the 1kw and 2kw aero-sharp transformers are before modifications? The 3kw ones are 250:230v The 1.5kw ones are 93:230v Just need to know what the 1kw and 2kw ones are, thanks! |

2kW Aerosharp is: 230V primary 250V 8.7A secondary 0.93V AC RMS/turn at 230V AC RMS on the secondary winding. It's not a bad sized toroid. wronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers |

Thanks Poida. I think there is a 2.5kw version too. My guess is that 2kw and higher run 230:250 transformers while 1.5kw and lower run 93:230 If I can find another 2 units I can start on a 3 phase build |

3 phase inverter build? Based on the EG8030? I have a toy 3 phase system that uses an Arduino Mega and 3 half bridge outputs. In testing it can drive 3 phase AC servo motors. Rotation speed is controlled with a pot. with speeds from -10 RPM to +10 RPM continuously variable. I look forward to seeing how your project goes and how you use it. wronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers |

I'm just contemplating a 3 phase warpverter build based on Andrew's stm32 blue pill project here I'm finishing my single phase warpverter build for my 200v Prius, and I found it all fits nicely in a rack mount box. Actually the board fits in a 2U box and the 4 transformers fit snugly in a 3U size box. Now.....I have another set of transformers so I can double the output just by paralleling the second set of transformers in another 3U box. BUT, if I scrounge around and find another couple of aerosharp inverters, then it will be tempting to make a 3 phase warpverter.... Just for fun! It's just thoughts at the moment because I don't need 3 phases for my application, but it will be hard to resist if I come across the extra parts. This stuff is addictive and I have a bit of free time to burn for the next few months. Idle Hands.... Edited 2020-12-22 12:41 by Haxby |

Its should be pretty easy to suitably synchronise three Warpverters. That is a very neat packaging solution by the way. You can remove the electronics for maintenance or repair, and leave the heavy transformers behind. Cheers, Tony. |
