Just thought I'd share where I bought my HY4008W's from. Better pricing than Aliexpress at $0.60 USD each. You can get $8 off your first order.

I do not think they do this anymore due to some issues with the customs declarations.

What they do now though, is if you were customer since before March 2019 and have pending order with JLCPCB they give you a discount on the shipping. My last two orders had $0 shipping and were delivered within a week.

And...LCSC do not sell counterfeit parts and that alone is worth the small shipping cost (if) you have to pay.

I will have to try ordering 10 * ATmega88 from them as the units I got from Aliexpress were all duds. No two batch numbers the same!

I should have checked each one when they arrived, then I could have lodged a dispute :(

How do you know that?
I have learned not to trust anyone and least of all Chinese sellers.

Pity the bloody factory doesn't deal direct.

Just personal experience not having any troubles with any of their components as opposed to numerous failed parts bought off ali.

LCSC is authorized distributor of many of the brands they sell. You can return your order within 30 days if you want. I've never had a problem with anything I've bought from them which I can definitely not say about stuff from Aliexpress. All their stuff comes professionally packed in ESD safe packaging. I've gotten ESD sensitive components loosely wrapped in cling wrap from Aliexpress.

LCSC is in the process of building a new warehouse.
They claim they are "The Largest Electronic Components Online Store by Customers and Ordering Quantity in China". They have a reputation to mantain whereas Aliexpress stores can just open a new shop if they get to many bad reviews.

Their prices are much cheaper than Digikey, Mouser, or Arrow. Plus the shipping from china is cheaper than getting something shipped locally here in the US.

I've spent to much to admit here at LCSC and I have never had a complaint or issue with any of the parts I received.Edited by kentfielddude 2019-07-20

JLCPCB not only supply bare boards, they also supply fully loaded and tested boards.

That means they have to buy in a lot of components themselves, and would be pretty aware of which Chinese suppliers are reliable, and which are shonky.

Same here, problem is when buying from aliexp, sometimes you are dealing with drunken bandits, other times they are perfectly run businesses, lucky dip really.

If you look at what their companies are capable of, it's pretty hard to form a level of trust with them, like this
AND they did that to their own people.
