Some time ago warpspeed mentioned those (can't recall the thread) cheap kit digital scopes. Well, I had ordered one and it duly arrived. To my surprise it worked well the first time it was switched on. Anyway, I also ordered that acrylic case, supplied in kit form. That one never arrived but I got another oscilloscope kit delivered instead - I was not going to complain about that  .So, after then ordering two acrylic cases, they arrived yesterday. Has anybody used them? If you do get one you will be in for a little challenge to put it together  . Just as well I like doing jigsaw puzzles, that case provided me with an hour or so of capital 'fun'.A hint: its best to assemble the three internal acrylic panels first, to one of which the small plug in display board attaches. That particular panel is rather fragile, I managed to easily break it when inserting the display board connector. So, temporarily screw these 3 panels together with shorter M3 screws. This makes all much more rigid for the display board attachment and plugging in - saves superglue too  .Here is a pic of the finished case, the screen shows the inverter output at low load (<100W). That wave form got a lot cleaner, BTW, after I re located the ferrite choke to the high F primary leg. All the little spikes at the peaks have gone away now.  Klaus |

The Chinese stuff can be really good value and then you get something that is crappy. At least when something is only a couple dollars it is not so bad, there is a You Tube channel with Big Clive who really gets into the Chinese stuff and pulls it apart to show how bad some things are. There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't. |

I got one of those cases for my LCR meter. A nice tight fit. Found putting a large rubber band circulating the sides very helpful and just leave it on. Worth the price I had it turning on all the time before the case from some metal on the workbench shorting some pins. |

Yes, the case has been well designed. There have been a number of hardware modification submitted by community members. Likewise, a few firmware updates. Good support from the manufacturer. A great 'scope for working on off-grid and power supply systems. JyeTech |

When I bought my two kits the plastic cases were not available back then. I wanted to mount this behind a front panel, so what I did was cut and glued together the bezels from a couple of old digital voltmeters.  Cheers, Tony. |

Quick and possibly obvious question for you Tony. Do you run an x10/probe or resistor divider or transformer for your mains sampling to your scope? Ralph |

I run a very small transformer to isolate the mains from the oscilloscope input. And dc power for it comes from a dc plug pack. Cheers, Tony. |
