Gizmo, Mods, I trust this topic is okay. OzInverter, 6kW to 15kW, 48vDC to 230vAC, 50Hz Pure sine wave. (also 60HZ). Thanks to 'Oztules' for all his experiments and builds. Now that the 2017 winter approaches I will try doing another full reprint of the " How to make a OzInverter book" with the latest No12 OzControl board, Power Board, OzCooling board, masks etc contained in it rather than a separate supplement. However, I will still retain the info on the Powerjack boards as a separate chapter. The new book will have a separate ISBN number, so might be available from distributors, that's if it doesn't cost me to much. Here is a Utube vid my 15 year old put out, and yes that's a No8 OzControl board. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3If9sbpdcA Everything is possible, just give me time. 3 HughP's 3.7m Wind T's (14 years). 5kW PV on 3 Trackers, (10 yrs). 21kW PV AC coupled SH GTI's. OzInverter created Grid. 1300ah 48v. |

Hey Spoon, welcome to the site. Unless Clockman has added a lot more info to his book you'll probably find following one of the build threads has a lot more info. My experience was almost zero at the start of the year and now have a running inverter and the house is 100% off grid. Have a look at my build thread here Lots of stuff ups , BUT lots of experienced people chimed in and helped, very good tips from the fellas, but a loooong thread. Cheers Caveman Mark Off grid eastern Melb |

Hi, spoonhonda, Yes still have the first edition in Print, ISBN 978-0-9935903-0-6 along with the 3off Proven PCB boards and the update 12 page supplement. Ordering the book and PCB's, see ..... http://www.echorenovate.com/new-book--make-a-6kw-inverter.php The second Edition is turning out to be interesting. actually my homage to John, 'Oztules'. With this second edition I have to be a bit more specific in the BUILD, ensure folk keep to the specifications and have the necessary working skill set. At the same time explain and show the practical technical/math stuff with out the book becoming a boring read for the normal folk. Also as most builders do not have English as their first language I need to be more specific with the vast amount of Photos, so lots more Pic's that are a bit more interactive. I have sent a few boards to the US. I suspect you will be using 120vac, so the toroid build will need a centre tap on the secondary windings and the 8010 chip will need the frequency setting altering from 50HZ to 60HZ. Let me know i have a 60HZ Ozcontrol board ready for manufacturing, or I can alter a 50HZ board?. I trust this helps. Everything is possible, just give me time. 3 HughP's 3.7m Wind T's (14 years). 5kW PV on 3 Trackers, (10 yrs). 21kW PV AC coupled SH GTI's. OzInverter created Grid. 1300ah 48v. |
