Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi There.
An attempt at converting a 48V sine wave board to 96v ended in mosfet shrapnel all over the place.
One of these things.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1PC12V-24V-36V-48V-750W-1500W-2000W-3000W-Pure-Sine-Wave-Power-Frequency-Inverter-Board/ 32727677770.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.YwLxkR

The mosfets were changed out with 90A 200V and the caps with 160V 2200uF. Only 3 caps though. The EGS002 was fed with 5V and 12V with wall warts. The second the transformers were turned on the setup was dust and smoke. A 20A breaker tripped so I tried a 63A breaker and that ended as aforementioned.

Could someone please help me with the necessary component values for new Mosfets and capacitors? The transformer I have is a 5kW 52v primary/220 secondary standard transformer with no centre tap on the primary.
Fortunately there is enough of the board left for me to trace which EGS002 pins go where.
I would sincerely appreciate any help I can get. A simple drawing or advice would go a long way.
Thank you.

There is a good chance the EGS002 has gone to meet it's maker also. If you don't have a CRO it is difficult to know if the current one is okay. Sorry can't help any further.

The caps and fets you mention should be fine.
If you ran the board then turned on the transformer, then you will probably blow up.

Instant fireworks is almost impossible due to the soft start... so not sure how you did it... but the components you selected should have been perfectly fine.

This time use just one fet/bridge, and no caps. The transformer must be connected before turn on. This will get it running so you can check the waveform, set the voltage etc.... when happy, fill in the caps and fets and heat sink.... also check your egs002 board.
