Just wondering if anyone has one of these chargers? They were are sold by Altronics as M8528 charger and cost around $60-$70.
It's a PowerTran 6/12V 2.7A 3 stage lead acid battery charger in a wall wart format.
I've blown mine up and so far have replaced several components however there is a 2W resistor in mine that has a rather uniform charcoal colour to it and the colour code is unreadable.
I'm wondering if someone does have one of they would be kind enough to open theirs up and determine the resistor value for me?
I can take some pics to show what I mean if someone has one. There is a large resistor ( only large wattage resistor in the charger)under the heatsink inside the charger.
Seems a waste to just throw it out.
cheers
Rod
