Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Has anybody got the pinout for the RJ45 on the front panel used for the remote ON/OFF switch? I have the 3KW unit, however I expect most of other variants would have the same pinout as there is only one remote switch available.

I do not want to buy the remote control switch as I would then have to interface my own solar controller to it rather than to the front panel. The dealer can not or will not confirm if that is possible. Not even ... is it a simple switch closure or is some signalling protocol involved.

When the warranty runs out I would pull the case off and sort it out myself, but until then I don't want to do that.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
davef

Wishful thinking me think.

Most systems are software protected and a simple contact closure dont work, they design it to require a data input before any function is excepted, so smart cookies like you can't access it without buying a over priced module to do a simple job.

Pete,

I can always hope! If I really was a smart cookie I would take that as a challenge and hack their design. Unfortunately, I am not brave enough to take chances rendering my inverter as a useless heap of junk.

Cheers,
Dave
