Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have some IR2104 gate drivers that are similar in spec to the IR2110 except they are single PWM input instead of dual input. Can they be substituted if one of the signals is inverted? If I split the signal through an inverting Schmitt trigger, it seems like it would work, but is it more nuanced than that?

Upon further inventory, I have some IRFB7545PBF FETS on hand and can get more at about 67 cents per. They are rated at 60 volts and 95 A, 4.9 mOhm. Also, I have a quantity of IRF3205, 55 V, 110 A, 8 mOhm. Are either of these acceptable for a standard Nanoverter?

Those IRF3205 mosfets are fairly common in 24V inverters, cheap easy to get fets for testing a build, is ok as long as they are similar to what will be running in the final version, if there is a need to compare heat and power consumption on a first build.Cheers Aaron Off The Grid

I'm in a little place called Alabama, off the beaten path. I'd like to get my hands on whatever extra you have. Let's talk. Edited 2021-01-10 11:51 by InPhase

The IR2104 is not pin compatible with IR2184 as used in the nanoverter control board.
IR2184 has 1 = IN 2 = SD (shutdown, 0V = active) 3 = COM 4 = LO
the IR2104 has 1 = Vcc 2 = IN 3 = SD 4 = COM
The IR2104 is a nice looking 1/2 bridge driver, ready to drive a totem pole type power board (Madness's board for instance) but the pins are not going to work in the nanoverter. Edited 2021-01-10 17:05 by poidawronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers

Thanks. I have been trying to read as much as I can here to answer all my questions because I know they have probably already been answered and people get tired of repeating the same stuff over and over. But it is difficult because it is spread out over time and different threads. Sometimes I don't know what questions to ask. I play a lot by ear and learn by blowing stuff up, but I'd like to avoid that for this project.
