Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The information on the front of my charge controllers(3 make Sky Blue 60 amp)

And the inverter voltage and amperage

Inverter switch

Would be nice to have on one screen

Would this be a worthwhile DIY project or is there A-Affordable one that someone could recommend

I know Madness is looking to get all of his stuff automated

So something like this could include a automatic turn on for a generator

Or a gas powered battery charger

I'm sure I'm showing my ignorance on this subject

if there is something I can read that would be great

If anyone wants to show off how they've done this I would also appreciate that

Ben,

What you're saying is very much possible.

Some MPPT controllers have a serial cable that runs from the main board to the front panel. If the manufacturer mentions the protocol, we can just connect a uC to reroute the data, otherwise you will have to reverse engineer the protocol using a digital analyzer.

It could be easier to wait for Mike's MPPT build I think

Another option could be to tap into the current and voltage on the input and output side and connect a uC to reroute the data just like above. This would be simpler but you will miss out on additional information.

I've seen a few cheap e battery monitors that look pretty decent besides being a really really small screen

It would be nice to have all the functions on one screen

but one of these for DC one of these for AC and then a switch for your inverter would work

I want to see how some of the people in this form has done it I want my stuff to look really nice

I want to play monkey see monkey do
