Hi Guys,

Always a great forum.

I'm using a F and P smart drive motor and I am looking for a 3 phase voltage quadruler circuit. Has anyone had any experience with this motor and this type of circuit? I have been through the previous 42 page forum post but maybe a missed a page. I know this is an old issue and some of the images are missing.

Or is the bottom circuit on Gordons Cap Mod Circuit a voltage quadrupler circuit?

I would really appreciate any feedback or experience.

-Dale.

Hi Dale

Its a 3 phase voltage doubler, in parallel with a standard 3 phase rectifier.

I heard Gordon did experiment with triplers and quadruplers, but the gains are small, plus its a real mess of rectifiers and capacitors.

I use a doubler on my OEM windmill, similar AC frequency to a F&P, and happy with the results, especially in low winds.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for the response. I have a voltage tripler that works fine and I think it was Gordon's circuit.

Thanks for the voltage doubler in parallel with a 3 phase rectifier. Is the attached image what you are referring too: Sparweb

Thanks,
Dale.

Hi Glenn,
Can you please let me know if the circuit I have a link to above is the quadrupler circuit?

Regards,
Dale.
