Crew I'm up to my old tricks again. I've constructed what I like to call "Kinetic Yard Art". It's a small, toy windmill. This one features lighted blades and a lighted tail. It also has a "fast-furling" tail to keep those blades (solid metal) from launching through my barn, cow or house. Here's a Video Link so you can watch it fly in daylight. Come evening, I'll shoot and upload another video so you can see it fly in the dark. Hey, maybe it'll attract aliens, eh? I've included a snapshot of the on-board power supplies. There's one for each of the blades and another one for the lights inside the tail. The blades have three each LEDs down their back sides and the tail has LEDs inside, run by a similar power supply of its own, mounted on the tail spar. Edit: I'm back with a link to the Night-time Video . . . . . Mac Nothing difficult is ever easy! Perhaps better stated in the words of Morgan Freeman, "Where there is no struggle, there is no progress!" Copeville, Texas |

LED bike wheel video display Don't want to give you any bad ideas. just saying it would fit on a windmill. or adafruit spoke POV DIY There is a mill with reflectors on the blades right by the road where I travel, if the wind is in the north east and my xenon headlights "light er up" it is almost sunglasses at night territory. Scared the out of me the first time it happened. I'm confused, no wait... maybe I'm not... |

MacGyver, Where did the gen come from? Do I see rechargeable batts? Great stuff! Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up. Winston Churchill |
