I have off grid system and nothing else, I never even considered.
I have had it over 15 years now.
I load to my batteries all the power from wind and solar.
You can find my systems and experiences about that, here in this forum.

I am retired shop keeper, wind and solar power enthusiastic.

-You are totally independent and can KISS goodbye to energy bills

and whole the time rising energy costs, when you do this

-You do not have to worry taxes etc
-You do not have to worry feed in tariffs, are they changing, or will
they end etc
-You never know what next government and decision-makers will do.
-You have reserve power, whatever happens.., you have power.
-This is !! indeed, sustainable development, does not have to maintain expensive electricity grids, which will fall in future storms. Local and independent power.
-In your battery powered system you use the same as they use, in most demanding
computer centers and robots controlled factories.
They use ONLY the pure sine wave inverter (with UPS) produced uniform
and high-quality clean electricity.
-The life of your all constantly finer and finer, digital home appliances and technology etc
Their working life will continue a LOT, when you use an electronically controlled, and indeed high-quality electricity, like they do, where they want that everything will last and work perfectly etc
-In coming years, our electricity grids ?

-Who will take care about them and pay them ?
-Who will take care about the quality of electricity ?

-You can put in action good and reasonable OWN power plant, with solar and wind,
with a down payment, of a very good Harley Davidson etc

(That is what I did. I made a choice, to have own power.)

-I really sleep GOOD nowadays and have peace of mind, that I have done
this solution and live also together with nature.

The best investment in our time is, with VERY many, many, ways, to the future of yourselves and your children, is to get independent

INDEPENDENCE, that is something that we REALLY need, in our time(to show, also) !

I am much more independent after my choice to own off grid system,
that I would be, when buying Harley Davidson.
I drive now, to my own destiny and my adventure path, with this way !

TO WOMAN AND MEN, WHO WALK THEIR OWN SPECIAL PATHS, in their life !

Batteries ?

YES, there is good batteries and have been, over 100 years.
