Greetings All.
I found my first Smartdrive motor today, im in the US so its out of a Whirlpool with a 36 winding motor. the motor from what i can tell died to a water leak running onto the bearings, so i need to get new bearing for the motor.
The bearing #s are 60050k for the small and 80080k for larger
Plan is on using this motor in a small hydro capacity so

1.does anyone have, replacement bearing #s and a possible suppler? cheaply is good as well.
2. is there a better bearing in general to use or one for a hydro application that would be better than stock.?
3. any other things i should know about these 36 winding motors?

thank you all for your time and attention

The Bearings will just be standard bearings available at any bearing shop , the numbers will be on the bearing and one looks like a 6005, just get rubber sealed not metal usually Have 2RS after the number , you can carefully flick a seal up and pack the bearing with waterproof grease, if you want to get really carried away .

Leaking seals is very common failure on newer model F&P washers. Early model machines are still going after 15 years with no seal failure, but newer ones made in Thailand are failing after 2-3 years. Water in the bearings causes them to rust and fail, so be sure your hydro setup has some form of slinger to stop water getting to the bearings.

Also check there are no shorts in the windings, happens a lot when they get wet.
