I have done all the work to convert a F&P motor into a generator. I have made the tower mounted the generator and all works well.
What I need to know next is what electrical gear is needed. I have no electrical knowledge but can learn. I was hopping to buy cheap off the shelf gear like diversion regulators, dump load etc but do not know what size I need. I have good mechanical skills and thought this was going to be an easy project but am now having problems finding the right info to harness the power. I have had a volt meter on the wires coming from the generator and it has got up to 30v is this ok?
Any help would be great

Tell us what you want to do with your generator.
Is it for charging a battery? If so, what voltage battery?
It is much simpler to provide detailed answers if you supply the facts, Just imagine that nobody on this forum can see your set up nor read your mind

As Tinker said, More information required.

Is that 30VDC or 30VAC, and how many phases do you have.
At what Rpm do you get 30v.
What do you intend to do with the power generated.
