Nice to see it up and running Catch66.

The turbine may be a bit on the small side for a F&P, but wont know until you get some figures, if there's enough wind it should be OK.

Anchorage? Is that where you are. That F&P is a long way from home

Thanks Glenn,

Son'Lives there with his family in Air Force.

Prop is from TLG 60" diam. boast buster . and is very, very quiet.
It is a newer 36 coil F/P.rewired into 3 legs of 12 coils..
When testing through rectifier into a 12 volt battery
I used a speed wrench.and by Using arm strong..attached it to 19 mm end nut I was seeing 6 Amps on amp meter with battery volts @ 15.5.just couldn't turn it pass
that.

tower is 2" square Hvy wall tube with a insert fitted to fit inside.

I used a 1 1/4" x 12" hvy. wall long nipple and had it welded with a
another hvy.1"x 12" wall pipe nipple fitted inside. then had machined o.d.
by a local shop to fit into a 25 mm used flange bearing.for the Yaw.
wire is going down center exiting out bottom.
tail boom is 5' x 3/4" heavy square aluminum.
I have had Hobby's but none as rewarding as building the turbine.

I'll post some more pictures later with some amp figures. I've
been slowly changing tail weight, to hold and track true.

take care from Montana,
Chuck S
