Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

This is obviously not the kind of forum that majors on assistance. I think I have stepped on some "Club" toes. Looking through your posts it's obvious now. I belong to a number of forums, who's aim is to enlighten and guide people through and ultimately educate those who really want to learn. I only wanted clarification, because it can be misconstrued relatively easily.
Thanks to you Glenn for your time mate.
So, I am sorry that I ever joined and will disconnect forthwith.

Hi Smokey

Sorry you feel that way. I do think you are being a little unfair though. Help was provided when asked, even if it took a day or two. Remember this is a forum, no one gets paid to help here, and its up to the individual asking the question to try and find the answers themselves before asking.

Hi Smokey,,

If you google the nz site "ecoinnovation" and go to the wind generator section ,, I think he has a comprehensitive instruction on that wiring and photos..

I think similar instructions are available right here on Glenns front page ,,just look for the F&P mod instruction ,,read it a few times to get the gist of things and away you go ..

Hi Glenn and Bruce,
Appreciate your replies - just a little incensed at being labelled 'dense'. I also never complained about the response time, just rude responses. Perhaps the "Senior" members should try to give advice not opinions.
Anyway, thanks again - I'll take your advice but no more of your time.
Bye.

Everyone,

Even though he posted what he thought was accurate info and to the point questions, I felt he was not discriptive enough to ensure what exactly what he was wanting to accomplish...thusly no response was given. I'm experinced with ac and dc power units ect. but still not competly up to speed to all of this...I don't want to give inaccurate info or advice and end up makeing things worse for him. It would be only a guess, but the 20 question game is'nt one that alot of us want to play.

Hi Smokey5159,
A large number of forum members would have had an interest in your F&P build and be willing to advise you with a suitable settup.Plus it would be fairly unique using a mill with your van plus sola! Most of us would be less than impressed with a "dense" lable, which I feel was a slip of the pen.It can happen occassionally but more often than not its not intended the way it seems.Unfortunately you've copped this one on the chin,if you can see your way past it you will find usefull help from the forum and we'd be happy to share the ups and downs of your project.Think about it? All the best Rastus

Smokey5159

I looked back through the posts to find the "culprit" and I'd like to offer a bit of advice by way of experience. This same person clobbered me away back in the day and I too was a bit offended, but I remembered an old "Rule of life" I learned a long time ago and just let it go by. That rule is: "If you won't be offended, you can't be offended".

As it turned out, this man is a great guy and a fellow sailer. His manner is a bit rough around the edges at times, but sailors are like that, ya know. Give it another chance; I'm sure what was said was done in joviality; nobody's out to "get" anybody else here and nobody's a true MacGyver for sure! We're mostly just a bunch of old farts playing in our back sheds and sharing our finds, that's all.

Give it another go, please.

Hi Smokey

We are all a bit dense at times and that is the purpose of a forum to Un Dense us but we have to be there for that to work.

All the best

Hi Grrr

You will need a three phase variable frequency inverter, I believe there are several VSD devices advertised on ebay, but they are a bit expensive to play with, what did you have in mind to do with the motor.

You may be able to rat the controller out of the original wash machine if you can find one to work, as it does what you want I think, just a bit hard to work out the circuit and get it working.

All the best

Hi Grr

This should probably be started as a new thread, I'll close this one, as its getting off topic.

It's a topic that come sup from time to time, and recently I've been looking at using a 3 phase motor drive from a remote control plane to drive a CNC spindle motor. I wonder if it could be used on the F&P?

Anyway, thats a topic for a new thread.
