Hi Guys,
I have a mill from a DC treadmill motor, the voltage is a bit low, so my question is this:

Is there an adjustable relay available, something like a dump controller so I can put a couple of DC voltage boosters in line, so if my mill is producing 6-7 volts I could boost it to 12-14 volts, and then if the mill puts out more than 12volts I could boost it to 24-28volts via a second booster, if you know what I mean, quite hard to explain in words, I'll try and do a drawing to better explain my idea.

Hi Paul

the normal little boost modules will do that, I would suggest a 3 amp one that cuts in at 5 volts and a 9 amp one that cuts in at 10 volts, but I suspect you won't get much from the higher one unless there is a cyclone.

Thanks for your reply.

Those modules look just the job for my mill.

Ive been monitoring the voltage produced by my mill, 9kph winds produced 18v, but winds are generally lower around here and most of my voltages are around the 4-7v range, as the mill is in a sheltered spot anyway, might try it on the roof, and see how the neighbours react, it should be Ok as it is near silent and painted in a hammered grey colour.
