Hi all,the Federal Government is having an inquiry into large scale wind energy.Both the Alternative Technology Association and Hepburn Wind are asking for support.Hepburn have a formatted submission or you could write your own. Submissions close on the 10/02/2010 (Tomorrow) The link can be found here. more bloody beaurocrats with their heads stuck up their asses. how could projects like these possibly not make good sense? the only thing I see wrong with it is the fact they are only putting up two why not put up four for twice the price or seven for three times the price. Hi all at last the Hepburn wind project has been commissioned with it's first output into the grid today.A fantastic achievement by the local community.They also just won the Premiers award for Sustainability.Magnificent 
Anthony. We are generating! After six years, we’ve just hit our biggest milestone. We received our final certificate of electrical safety on Tuesday and we generated our first power into the grid this morning at 10.20am! The commissioning team have begun reliability tests for ‘T1’ (the turbine closest to the Ballan – Daylesford road) and will turn their attention to ‘T2’ in the coming days. 10 days before our share price rises We’re flattered that 67 new members have signed up in the last month! We are also most grateful to the 41 existing members that have increased their shareholding. Now that the project is operational, the board has taken the view that investment risks are substantially reduced. In recognition of this and the pioneering support of our members, some of whom invested nearly three years ago, future investment in the project will be at $1.10 per share (rather than $1.00) from 1 July 2011. That is good news. I was wondering what happened to that project, its great to hear it been commissioned. Big pat on the back to all involved. For those that dont know what the project was about, its a community in Victoria that built their own wind farm, with two 2MW turbines.
