Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Sam

Can you do a load test connected to a battery bank as your figures would indicate that it is open circuit voltage, and the shorted amps would be different when put into a load such as a battery.

If you could enter into a XL spread sheet the results can then be graphed.

I found that driving the alternator in the lathe to get figures is a starting point only, and the end results when wind driven are less than half due to the variation in energy over a small speed range. In high winds the alternator can be easily overdriven and saturate, don't you love windmills.

Keep up the good work .

All the best
