Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Here are a couple pic's of how I replaced the F&P magnetic"tiles" with 192 small narrow Neo magnets 2 end to end and 2 high.

It's a bit tricky getting them to stay put (do it before the bar opens).
I then carefully stick "Gaffa" tape around inside and outside to form a little "Dam".
Polyester resin is then poured . Minor cleaning up after results in a clean job.

This rotor is very powerful and can't be removed if you put it on without the F&P purpose nylon removal nut.Even then it's a hard job to remove.
I found very little cogging ,just some because doing this job in a home workshop surely dosen't align the magnets %100.. The cogging causes a bit of hum when the rotor is spinning ,I'm hoping not too much. I suppose the cogging is less than %10 of what the ceramic arrangement was.

I'll post aome results of it in a couple of days ,if we have any decent wind.

Here you can see the bubbles caused by the polyester resin 's heat during curing.

These are the 192 small neo's 2x end to end and 2x stacked .

Hi Matt. Good to hear from you again--wondered where you had gone to --send me an e-mail if you still have my address.
The truck alternator is ready for the Neo's ,so will be contacting you about availability of whatever you think is suitable.
Will post pic's of the truck alternator here later.
