Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have just finished a twin stator wind turbine useing the 60 series or .6m stator and I have found that I am only getting about 9amps in strong winds.I think I should be using the 100 series 1m stator but I am unable to get the part number. If any member could help me I would be very greatfull. Hi Raymo, welcome to the forums.

We'll need some more info. 9 amps could be bad or good, depending on the size of your turbine and in particular, your battery voltage. If its a 12v system, then 12*9 is 108 watts, a bit average. But if its a 50v system, then your watts is 450, which is pretty good!

So whats you battery voltage, turbine diameter, etc. Does the windmill have furling, and if so, is it furling at max amps. How have you configured the stators? Are they factory standard, or reconfigured as per this page... http://www.thebackshed.com/windmill/FPRewire.asp

Hi Glenn, thanks for getting back to me, as you are now awear I have just started with DIY wind generation.I built my wind turbine using the kitt showen in the back shed and modified it to take two stators. I rewired it for 12to24 volt and my furling system should work well but I dont think I have had enough wind to test it yet.I will be moveing to Jurien Bay in about 6 months time and there will be no shortage of wind living near the sea. Do you think it would be better to nun both stators without rewiring them and put them directly into a gridtied inverter or do you have any other sugestions. RAYMO
