i made my first coil this morning by hands, and it looks horrible.

so i made a coil winder,it's not finish yet,i hope it works well.

my first turbine assembled by 8 magnets 6 coils,i expect it have potential to produce 200w at 4m/s.

diam of copper wire, 1.08mm , 130 turs per coils.

is there anything wrong with this design?

Good to see you ditched the induction motor idea and am tring to produce a decent mill.

You should at least end up with something that will produce some power.

You should not wind too many coils till you have your magnets and plates setup so you can test 1 coil to see if the number of turns is correct for your setup.

You asked elsewhere about magnet size, The bigger the magnets and the more powerfull the magnets are, the better the output from the mill.

The thing that restricts most people with magnets is the cost, otherwise we would use huge powerfull magnets and lots of them and make very good power with big windmills.

Yes, it is too thick. With my winder I have two plexiglass discs on each side to contain the coil. When I am done I use some superglue to keep it tight. I add the superglue and wedge the coil between two metal plates and some clamps. This keeps each coil fully compressed.

Hi you need to make a frame to wind the coil onto that has 2 plates 1 each side so it will keep the coil shape.
The coil will need to be 2/3 the width of you magnets.

So 4mm magnets will = 2x4 = 8 /3 = 2.667x2= 5.33mm thick

So for your coils they will need to be 5-6mm thick.
