Salutations travelers, I'm looking to set up my new F&P on a bench with either an electric drill or a small motor to do some performance tests with a few different configurations. Despite what I would describe as an avid fascination with shiny spinning things since I was a few months old I have never had occasion to work with them in my professional life and as such have very little clue about such things. I'm really hoping (probably a fantasy) that the F&P uses some sort of standard spacings for it's mount and I can just jump on Ebay and buy a bearing mount for $20? PS. After reading what people have posted in certain parts of the internet, well ok the ENTIRE internet. I have to say that this forum is the most understanding likeable bunch of people I have ever come across. Ry. |

for a test bench application, if you have the washing machine you could chop the original out of the drum and clamp it with an u-clamp I guess. this is a pretty standard bearing mount style, I call them a flange mount off the top of my head it is something like pf205 for a 6205 bearing. is it a different size bearing on the other end of the shaft? i think it has a flat outer surface 6005? 25mm shaft? more info PS bearings from the company FAG are not known for their long life. I'm confused, no wait... maybe I'm not... |
