Over 1000W DC output can be achieved from 2x 36 pole stators using black rotor caps direct drive no gearing at just over 600RPM top speed.

The configuration is as follows;
First stator needs to be set for half cut delta operation connected into a 22-60V 1000W Grid Tie Inverter.

The cut in RPM will be about 70 RPM and with to be at least 2.5m diameter set of blades which will give 20W-50W output in light winds.

The second stator (also connected to the GTI) needs to be a third cut delta, that won't cut in till around 250 to 300 RPM. Inverter output will be around 250W at second stator cut in speed.

Maximum operating power output is about 1020W DC side with 60V at 17A.

This set up is a staggered stator mode of operation as opposed to using staggered cut stators.

This system set up provides the best results from low to high wind speeds.

**Please Note batteries are not required on this type of sysmtem and if fitted will halve the system output power!!

Good results Dave

Getting 600 RPM on a 2.5m diameter turbine will need some serious wind. The bigger the diameter, the slower they spin.

Hi Glenn

Thanks for the response. Yes does take lots of wind to get up to the 500-600 RPM range, that's why I stated that 1000W was the Maximum output. Still puts out between 200-400W in the 200 to 300 RPM range, as that's where the second third cut delta stator starts do it's work.

Cheers

David
