turbine comes in 12-24 volts is that ok to connect to grid in australia

The lowest DC grid connect is offered be Latronics at 48V in the PV1200 (max 1600W in) but then you need a TC48 Turbine Controller. Then the next is a 96V once again offered by Latronics in the PV2500 (max 3100W in) and that will need a TC96 Turbine Controller.
Most grid connect turbines are high voltage such like a 1Kw would be around 240VDC 2Kw would be around 300VDC and a 3Kw around 350VDC. The DC voltage is high to keep the amps low which is what most grid connects are designed for, the likes of Latronics, Ginlong and SMA Windyboy are what you should be looking for.
The 12V and 24V "Grid Tie Inverters" (Powerjack?) available on evilbay are illegal and very dangerous. Your insurance company will leave you in the lurch if it burns your house down or kills a linesman...needs to be CEC listed!!!
I think you need to look at the whole picture seriously. You have a few Chinese "Cindy" mills that are probably 48V that you wont be able to grid connect legally, the above mentioned PV1200 won't take your 2Kw 48V mills.
You probably don't have the solid grounding and knowledge that is required to tackle the project you have on hand.
IMO - Sell your turbines to people who need them for 48V off grid situations and buy 1 good 5Kw grid connect inverter and then shop for 1 good 5Kw CORRECT voltage turbine and have a licensed installer install them.
Remember, a turbine is not a magical device that generates power as soon as it spins. Have you done any site data acquisition to see what your average wind speed is?
You would be very disappointed if after all of this you are only producing 1kwhr per day because you don't have the wind.Foolproof systems do not take into account the ingenuity of fools.

I know I do not have the knowledge
but where the f do u find it
it took me years to find an engineer to do me a plan for a tower
recently i found another tower manufacturer in victoia named ingles eps in forest [ hill
i fell into that trap in 2010 when u could not buy anything and bought a power jack
i am not an electrician
from cindys manual
Voltage : for use with 36 / 48 volt battery banks as well
as feeding into home grid
i want to connect to grid to sell power to provide for my horse
i bought a wind anenometer on ebay it has been posted
i only know at narre warren the wind blows because it blew my front verandah down
i only paid 900 bucks for each 2 kw rotor from cindy
so i have london to a brick to get them up
i bought quality bhp black pipe re legal issues- a truck load enough for 4 x 9 metre towers $2600
i have plan for 9 metre tower for paddock eventually I found the engineer above who did a lot of testing on cindys unit
but then thought I would put them in business park in narre warren so need taller towers
i then found vertical vawt and thought that mite be better for narre warren business site
enhar that wrote the pdf for victoria govt is only about 1 km from me in leceister st carlton ??? get them to look at my site in narre if I can lure them with cash deal
they do windfarms for big overseas peoples who are buying up all our power and water companies
aim to get 3 x cindys 2 kw up
plus one beawindhog 4 kw- they said I could have a tower out of 3 inch pipe
but in victoria I have to get a building permit
maybe i should bite he bullet and put the whole lot in my horses paddock
vertical windturbines are not available yet from the chinese others unaffordable
i got the the bewaindhog.com 4 kw for 2188 aus the dollar dropped just as I was doing transaction bugger usa $1750 plus225 freight
beawindhog.com gave it to me half price because a customer returned it unopened for ssame problems I am am having in finding some one with the knowledge that knows about this stuff. I mean i cannot find anything on connecting a windturbine to the grid othr than basic pictures
maybe just buy a big hawt for the paddock and get the blasted thing going

DC380V (12,24,48,120,240vdc 380vdc)
this is from the 4 kw beawindhog manual so i persume it will work
anyway i gave cindys controller and brake etc to engineer who tested it

phil m used to be on cindys payroll
i gave cindys unit to an engineer who tested it
I am trying to get a service with the electrical knowledge
first problem get tower plans increased to 120 ft
first engineer did not put the size of the foot plate needed
have found a few more engineers on google
as original engineer is very busy
I found this engineer thru a professional installation service
who will not respond to me unless I go thru the specialist installation service
very busy and I need towers up
but I bought the pipe and all i need is a plan
he did the wind calcs for me for 9 metre tower but I need now 120 feet tower
I had to pay $1200

"so i have london to a brick to get them up"
can you translate that for the Canadians, my commonwealth cousin?

The correct saying is "I'll bet you London to a brick"
which means very short odds in the chances stakes.Edited by MOBI 2013-07-01David M.

You can get weather data for a town/weather station near you from the Bureau of Met. Try here:
http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/data/index.shtml?bookmark=200 and try the monthly statistics. That should give you an idea of the average wind speed in your area, which you can use to determine if your wasting your time or not.
Have a look at the data and graphs and see if your average daily wind speed falls into a range that is at least close to a speed that will produce a useful output from your turbines. The peaks (i.e "strong enough to blow down your verandah") doesn't give you useful information - that can happen anywhere. If the average in your area is close to a useable speed, then stick up an anenometer and gather some data at your site. Log it for as long as you can. Then you'll be able to tell if your wasting your time or not, and can sell your turbines if you are.
You may also want to look at getting a solar installation in. With panels being as cheap as they are at present, it might be cheaper to buy a 6-10kW system and get it hooked up to the grid than it is to build the towers for all your turbines. Again, data on solar radiation for your area is available on the BOM site, which should allow you to determine which will be more cost effective and/or productive option.
I'd stop buying turbines until you figure out what your doing though. For example, that Beawindhog turbine comes in several models - 380VDC OR 12V or 24V or 48V or 120V etc etc. If you've bought a 12V, 24V or 48V you've wasted your money if your intending to grid-connect (assuming wallaback is right - i've got no intrest in grid-connect, so i don't know squat about it).
