Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Dwyer,

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for http://www.thebackshed.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2812&PN =0&TPN=4 , the thread was totally derailed by TomQ ....now banned, and the topic closed .

From that point which was very early days I did a lot more testing and further mods to get the 500W mills going very well . One point is that you CAN NOT short out these mills to stop them in high wind or as a matter 90% of mills say "NO" when they are going Max and with the power these blades develop the W/S is quite low .

I know you decided to go down the liquid cooling track , if you want to contact me about what the latest changes and mods are feel free, it was all around the furling dimensions and angles and I even added a manual furl option that is the way to go for positive shutdown. I have put this on all of my mills and to lock the tail in full furl and still let the mill run at a reduced output is a winner .Edited by fillm 2013-10-17
