Hi, Glenn is suggesting an angle between 8 and 10 deg, which leads to an angle of 13.2 deg for an angle of attack of 10 deg. I have lost the answer from the forum member, who is selling the ALU props, I believe his suggestion was 17 deg to bottom surface. Such an angle would give more torque and lower RPM I guess. Any other suggestions from members who are flying those PVC/Alu props? I have lost his answer and photos to getting equal pitches; his answer to the problem was cutting wooden wedges with this 17 deg angle and sitting the props onto it. I suppose the timber has to be reasonably thick so the wedges do not fall over or they have a horizontal support glued to it. Or is it easier to buy a protractor and lie the props onto the flat ground with the upper prop surface touching the ground and then adjusting the pitch with the protractor? I suppose the protractor must give me the angle to the horizontal, so I use a spirit level in addition. As you can read, I am "handyman challenged" or at least my wife says so! By the way, those 5mm SS rivets are a challenge, one $10 Bunnings pop rivet gun was returned as it could not pull enough, a second $20 rivet gun pulled one until breaking and then broke itself. May pull enough after aralditing? Or I have to spend more than $20 on a "contractor's" type?? The GOE222 runs best at 8~10deg AOA, which when set on the face is +3deg ( 11 ~ 13 ). Believe Me, they do not need any more torque and I have never stated 17deg , if you go back over your posts I think I showed you a good way to set the AOA on them last year LINK . The S/S rivets are not the MUST DO but do not use Alu Rivets . I use monel and one 1/4 bolt . What is contractors pipe ? hope it is not the thin walled steel electrical condute. Thanks for that and thanks for the link again. The 17 deg had entered my brain by mistake. The pop rivet gun has to be of contractor's quality as a 5mm SS rivet requires a lot of pull to expand. From the photo showing your 12 deg wedge I assume the squarish block at the end of the thin wedge is glued and ensures the wedge stays vertical.
