I am trying to figure out what the wind loading on my windmill will be at a wind speed of 36 Meters per Second & a rotor sweep area of 5.5 meters, using a set of 3 blades? I have tried to calculate what it will be & come up with about 3,000 Kilos? What do you think?

Any help will be appreciated.

36 Meters a second works out to 129kmh. At that speed your windmill should be shut down and/or furled out of the wind. Assuming its not, and the turbine is facing into the wind and spinning, and manages to stay in one piece, you would have about 750kg pushing against the tower. This is assuming you mean 5.5m2 and not 5.5m diameter. Thats based on maths to calculate mesh type satelite dish wind loadings.

There is a massive difference between a spinning and a near stationary turbine. If the turbine was stationary the loading would be closer to 50kg and not 750kg.

But at the end of the day, you can not have a spinning turbine facing into the wind at those speeds, it will not survive.
