Nice I used the case for a chicken coop once. I left the lid on to act as a door so I could get the eggs out. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

Old mate's mate, Gizmo, I must say...the tail looks professionaly built, nothing wrong with useing whats on hand and handy. The chicken coop is a good one also, I would'nt have thought of it...very resourseful indeed. "High marks". I could never keep the chickens in the pen, so I just opened the outer gate to the pen and left them to room during the daytime. A small light turned on just before sunset would be all they needed to bring every last one back to the coop for the night, switch off the light and close the gate, very simple, and everyone is happy. ....Mac46 I'm just a farmer |

They also make good dog kennels. Fix the lid so that it becomes a roof. Put in some dog blankets and instant kennel. Apparently the smallest ones are about the standard size for chook show boxes. A wood/wire frame door is used to replace the plastic top and they are stacked on top of each other and next to each over to display show chickens. A well recycled piece of equipment if there ever was one. |

Hi All This is a really good way to recycle otherwise trashed materials I think we should start a forum section on members recycling otherwise thrown out trash. I am sure within the forum there are many innovative ideas. All the best Bob Foolin Around |

I agree, I do a lot of recycling at home, and anything useful that I haven't thought of would be great! Santa Maria, CA. Noel |
