I would like to increase the DC Voltage (and hence increase the power) that I feed into my Grid Tie Inverter (GTI). I was thinking of doing this by putting up another of my AirBlenda 500W VAWT's. AirBlenda in action Currently I have the 3 phase AC from my AirBlenda going into a 3 Phase Bridge rectifier, which then feeds a DC current into my GTI. The capacity of my GTI inverter (2KW) is considerably more than I would ever generate from one AirBlenda. The question is can I link in another AirBlenda, and wire them up in series after the AC to DC conversion such that I get double the DC voltage to feed into the GTI. The GTI is a Ginlong 2000W Wind Turbine GTI (approved for use in Australia), and has a DC input range of 30V-750V. Am I thinking along the right path to achieve this is another alternative available? Hi Smithy Nice video, good to see a VAWT working in the suburbs. Yes, you can connect them in series after the rectifier, works perfectly well. Even if one VAWT is stopped, the power from the other will go through its rectifier. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |
