Over the last couple of weeks I finished of the bearing carrier and main shaft. The shaft is 50mm thick wall tube, and spins nice and true. I CAD up and got some fins made for the Lenz2 wings, these were cut from 3mm mild steel. The little eyelets are bent up and used as the pop rivit holes to hold the skin on. Using these ribs and some 13mm RHS, I built the wing skeleton. Each wing is 2400mm ( 8 feet ) high. For the skin I'm going to use 1mm aluminium sheet pop rivited to the skeleton. Its getting there. Yesterday I found the cats new sleeping spot This would explaing the strange hairs I find on my undies! Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. LOL! Cats love to do that, don't they! After Billy was killed by some mongrel dogs off-leash, we got another cat (saved it off death-row at the local pound). "Tigger" was feeling a little insecure in his first days here. We couldn't find the little bugger for hours... then I found him in the kitchen cupboard! |
