Hi back for more help please.

Ceiling fan new project best way of mounting.

Bridge rectifier best up top or down at the bottom.

How do you put them in parallel or series need amps not volts 1.5 amp per coil

And anything else you think would be help.

Best charge controller for it

Hi Allan

Just a suggestion.



Use two toroidal transformers to get the volts down to a usable level, Spin up the motor to a reasonable revolution you would expect to get from your blades, and measure the output volts on each winding set, you can then purchase two transformers to reflect the ratio needed to equalize the voltage at the output then use separate bridge rectifiers. Note: open circuit voltage indicated will be more than loaded voltage, if you can put a old 220 volt small transformer on when voltage testing it will give you a more accurate reading.

Be careful as the voltage produced could be lethal. 100 watt transformers would be more than enough for the output of the fan motor.

See if you can fit another neo on your stacks to increase efficiency by reducing air gap.

Don't expect miracles from these fan motors but doing this you may get close to 100 watts total.
Feed into a capacitor choke capacitor network for smoothing and then into a 5 amp solar regulator.

Thanks for the info this is only my second mill moving up tp biger and better things starting at the botton i hope i will understand more as i go.

any iders on best way of montinf blades and any uther bits will help out.

Hi Alan,
my suggestion to mount your ceiling is to put it on
piece of 2x4 board or metal about 2feet long.THe fan
generally comes with a piece pipe that hangs it up,
you can use two or three 1/2" metal clamp to hold it
in place.These ceiling fan have potential but you
would have to have strong wind constantly, because
of cogging.I build two and the first time i put it up
i thaught it was going to take off and my mulimeter
was just going up,but on that day we had some strong
wind from that it just sit there and nothing happens.

Is it possible to convert a ceiling fan to alternate any current without installing magnets?
