Howdy all, This is my first try at a ceiling fan windmill,i have just received my magnets two days ago they are 1/2"x1/4" disc magnets.I put the magnets in i only use 14 but i am having problem with coging ,so i am asking the forum members this question if i could use a file and file down the edges of the stator, like the did with the F&P or would this cause more problem. As anyone ever done a complete ceiling fan windmill before. All the best, JA Robby. No man is an island. |

Hi JA Robby Have you seen this page... http://www.thebackshed.com/windmill/articles/decoggingFP.asp How many poles are there on the stator? Could you post a picture of the stator, it might make it easier to work out the best way to configure the motor as a alternator. Hi Glenn I have seen it and that is why i was asking if i could apply the same method. There are 28 poles on the stator 14 on the outer and 14 on the inner. Each coil is refer to as a pole wright? I am a bit mix up when you say poles, but it has 28 coils 14 inner 14 outer. sorry no picture at this time but i will try and post when the camera is back in working condition.
