"link" im gonna be getting some 2x1x1/2 N50 neo mags from that company i mentioned before that wanted 200 bucks to send 25 of them to perth at 6.20 AUD each. however, the more i buy the cheaper it becomes, if i get 100 of them it comes down to 5.56 AUD each. the postage is also more cost effect at $418 AUD. iv asked at the post office and to send a 5kg package from perth to queensland would 19 bucks so i imagine it would be cheaper if your in adelaide or something like that. to get 25 sent to queensland would work out to cost 262.50 total and 10.50$ per magnet. the reason i say 25 instead of 24 is to allow a spare incase one gets broken in transit or you break one in your build. any takers? edit: worked out that to get just 25 would cost 365 AUD total at 14.6 each. |

It would be nice to know what the actual postage cost is from the States for 25 magnets as most of these suppliers charge 3-4 times the actual cost to post international. If not in a hurry it could be worth looking at having the magnets sent to one of the boy on the forum in the States and have them repost the magnets at a realistic price. Just a thought. Pete. Sometimes it just works |

No thats the price he is charging you, not the actual cost of the postage. To be honest with you the round ones off Trev would be a bargain compared to the ones you are looking at. It would seem $ spent in magnets = watts output and the rounds do put out very nicely. I am told they also make for a quiter mill. Its all a matter of preference. Pete. Sometimes it just works |

Crew I was going to send a "CARE" package (magnets) to someone in Australia, but my (US) post office said if it were magnetic in any detectable way, it wouldn't fly (or swim) -- they refused to ship it! Does anyone know if shipping out of Hawaii is any cheaper than from the contiguous 48 states? . . . . . Mac Nothing difficult is ever easy!
